Our Goals and Methods
- We want to change American education. This includes radical changes to curriculum requirements and even a significant stepping back from compulsory education.
- We will make these changes through information. Give people the truth and eventually they will accept it.
- We will make these changes through shame. Most people want to do the right thing. Mohandas Gandhi and Martin Luther King did not defeat their oppressors with violence. They succeeded because their oppressors were good, decent people. It is time to raise the consciousness of that huge mass of American people who are suffering through the schooling process now and those who did so earlier. School is never going to be fun or easy, but it does not have to be the hell it has been for so long.
- We will force the powers that be - all those who run education in America - to explain and justify what they are doing. No more platitudes about how they care for the children, how education is the key to success, etc. We want people to demand, demand, demand explanations.
- We will spread the SIH message. Various items available to you from the For Sale Page will help publicize the philosophy and the movement. Join the revolution.
